Baywud
BAYWUD (pronounced bay-wood) is an L.A.-based indie artist, songwriter, and musician, classically trained in piano. Originally from Tyler, TX, he studied film at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles before pursuing music full-time.
His debut album, Back to Life, features a series of singles, including "Not Ready To Let Go," which earned a spot on Spotify’s Blues Roots editorial playlist.
BAYWUD has collaborated with a diverse range of international producers, including Quebec’s DRMS, Denmark’s Rune Westberg, and France’s Max Cinnamon. His first release of 2025, "Light in the Shadow," was produced by German producer Leif Bent.
“Light in the Shadow is deeply personal,” BAYWUD shares. “It reflects a recent struggle in my ongoing battle with depression and addiction. I wrote it for my partner—the one who helped pull me from the chaos and darkness I was living in.”
Currently, he is in the studio with Swedish producer Max Berga, working on an EP slated for a spring release, with his second full-length album planned for the fall.
BAYWUD is published by Patrick Conseil’s Gone Global Music, a division of Pure Pop Music LLC.
